SLHS Statement on Washington D.C. events from Jan 6, 2021

Below is a statement from SLHS in the wake of January 6, 2021. You can find a broader statement from SDSU President Adela de la Torre here. 

“We in the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences recognize the importance of supporting democratic institutions and processes and condemn the recent attacks on our nation. We recognize that these events are overlaid with deep racist and anti-Semitic ideology and xenophobia. As has been the case with past events, we are committed to supporting our students, faculty, and staff as we process these events as a community that values and actively promotes the critical evaluation of information in evidence-based practice, and diversity, equity, and inclusion”
