Pediatric Speech and Language Services

Services are provided to children (birth through adolescence) who have difficulty acquiring age-appropriate speech and language skills. Disorders or delays may include

  • Difficulty understanding or producing language
  • Challenges producing or coordinating speech sounds in order for others to understand what they’re saying
  • Difficulty using conversational language or participating in social interactions
  • Fluency disorders including stuttering and cluttering
  • Voice disorders
  • Language-learning disorders affecting academic success
  • Augmentative/alternative communication needs including devices and software that allow individuals to communicate more effectively.

Assessments and intervention are conducted using the most current evidence-based approaches. Children may have additional diagnoses including global developmental delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or hearing impairment.
