Biography
Dr. Christy Kirsch received her B.A. and M.A. in Audiology/Speech Pathology from San Diego State University and her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University. She started working in the field as an Instructional Aide in the San Diego Unified School District providing direct aural habilitation services to children 18-36 months of age and as a clinical audiologist (trainee) at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in La Jolla Since then she has worked in a variety of settings, including as an staff/senior audiologist and later as manager of the audiology department at the Speech, Hearing and Neurosensory Center of Children’s Hospital (now Rady Children’s) in San Diego. She also served as a program manager/Audiologist at Imua Rehab (helping start one of the first newborn hearing screening programs in the country) and as a clinical audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, both in Wailuku, Maui. From 2000-2015 she worked as a clinical audiologist specializing in pediatrics, in a private practice in San Luis Obispo, CA. Dr. Kirsch currently serves as the SDSU Audiology Clinic Director at San Diego State University.
