The Shelia and Jeff Lipinsky LLCN Research Internship
Through a generous contribution from Sheila and Jeff Lipinsky, the Laboratory for Language and Cognitive Neuroscience (LLCN) is able to offer summer internships to deaf students interested in pursuing a career in research and science. The goals of the internship are to provide an opportunity for deaf undergraduate and graduate students to receive training and mentoring in a highly-productive “deaf friendly” laboratory, and to encourage recipients to pursue an academic research career. Students should develop a research question or project with their home advisor that they will work on during the internship. The LLCN offers a rich environment for students to learn about brain imaging, eye-tracking, ERP, and psycholinguistic research techniques from research scientists. The paid internship includes roundtrip travel to San Diego and a stipend for living expenses.
Interested applicants should send a brief research statement and their CV to Dr. Karen Emmorey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
